Tapers Notes:-

Recorded from miles away stage left; mics near temples clipped to baseball cap directed straight forward;
no equalisation, no compression, no effects;
unfortunately most of the first hour is affected by left channel crackling and associated level reduction;
not for sale or commercial exchange, for trade or give away only

Band:-

Robert Smith - Vocals / Guitar
Simon Gallup - Bass
Jason Cooper - Drums
Roger O'Donnell - Keyboards
Reeves Gabrels - Guitar

Remaster Notes:-

Tracks 01 - 15: Right Channel Source "Psuedo-Stereo"
Tracks 16 - 40: Original L/R Stereo Source

This is a very nice recording that had issues on the first 15 songs as described by the taper.
I tried to fix the left channel issues but it beat me.

So.........

I came to a compromise with it.
Made a mono file using just the right channel.
Then using soundforge I put it through the "Psuedo-Stereo" tool.
This takes the mono file and inverts one channel to create a "Psuedo-Stereo" effect.
You can hear the change clearly between tracks 15 & 16.
It is what it is, a compromise for sure, but much improved over the original.

There are some moments when the "crackling" reappears but it is just like 1 or 2 seconds,
it goes quickly I left it alone, it is okay and not worth the time to correct it.
It isn't on all songs [after track 15] it just pops up out the blue a few times.

The actual recording is very good, as usual there are "talkers", some low level chat,
but it's not to bad, I have heard many many worse recordings.

The biggest thing from a mastering point was I reduced the tracks @ 50hz which got rid of the "boom" in the low end.
Then just some gentle eq to reveal the detail, light compression & limiting was applied.
It is not perfect, but is very good, [a strong 8/10].
If you like the band grab this, it will supply you with great listening for a long time.

An "I Don't Sleep I Dream" Presentation, 3rd September 2016.

Enjoy...
